StartUp Perú Plug 5G is an accelerator providing up to US$40,000 and mentorship to foreign startups focused on innovation, sustainability, and climate change, helping them scale and establish operations in Peru.
StartUp Perú Plug 5G is a startup accelerator program under the ProInnóvate initiative from the Ministry of Production of Peru. The program is designed to attract foreign startups in their scaling phase, providing them with financial support and mentorship to establish operations in Peru. Its goal is to promote innovation, diversify the economy, and foster startups that offer cutting-edge solutions, particularly in sectors like Agrotech, Healthtech, Edtech, and Fintech. The program places special emphasis on startups focusing on sustainability and climate change mitigation.
Selected startups can receive up to US$40,000 in non-reimbursable funding, which covers up to 70% of the total project cost, while the remaining 30% must be covered by the startup. The accelerator offers 12 months of incubation, where participants receive guidance on market integration, pitching, and growth strategies.
To qualify, startups must be legally established in their home country, have a minimum of US$80,000 in revenue over the last year, and demonstrate a unique technological innovation that aligns with Peru’s economic and environmental priorities. StartUp Perú Plug 5G supports not only the business growth of participating companies but also their integration into the Peruvian market, contributing to both local and regional development.
