Global Peace Film Festival: Using the films as catalysts for change

WHO THEY ARE?

The Global Peace Film Festival was established in 2003. Since then, it has been using the power of the moving image to further the cause of peace on earth. Moreover, the film festival has envisioned “peace” not as the absence of conflict but as a framework for channeling, processing and resolving conflict through respectful and non-violent means.

GPFF also works in connecting expression – artistic, political, social and personal – to positive, respectful vehicles for action and change. That's why the festival program is carefully curated, so it creates a place for open dialogue, using the films as catalysts for change.

WHY WE SUPPORTED THIS INITIATIVE?

Our August pledge is The Global Peace Film Festival. We support this initiative because it uses the power of the moving image to further the cause of peace on earth.

The Global Peace Film Festival also does an online selection of films during the week of the festival - from Sept. 18 through the 24th - that everyone can watch 24/7 here.
